Marco Pequeno will be tasked with servicing and developing new opportunities in the target market. The provider expects to reinforce its Brazil team, as well as further expanding in Latin America, a region the company sees as showing commercial potential.

Pragmatic Play has appointed Marco Pequeno as the new Country Director for Brazil as part of its Latam’s hub expansion strategy, announced the company on Wednesday.

The newly appointed director will be tasked with, amongst other responsibilities, servicing and developing new opportunities in the target market. By having chosen Pequeno for the role, the game content provider expects to reinforce its Brazil team.

Our dedication to growing in Latin America is evident and we’re very proud to expand our presence in the country by appointing a dedicated Brazilian team member,” said Victor Arias, Vice President of Latam Operations at Pragmatic Play.

The company’s presence in the region has grown exponentially in the past months, as Pragmatic Play considers the region to be showing “tremendous commercial potential” for its operations, according to a press release.

“With it being only a year since the establishment of our Latam hub, it’s another fantastic milestone for Pragmatic Play as we set our goals on even further expansion in the continent,” added Arias.

The new position filled in Brazil within Pragmatic Play’s hub in Latin America proves “the company’s commitment within the area,” as well as showing the interest the provider has in gaining territorial exposure.

Moreover, Pequeno’s appointment and the position he will assume are “fully in line” with the company’s approach of offering a localized perspective on its product portfolio from specialists with far-reaching regional expertise.

The game content provider currently produces new slot titles at a pace of up to five a month, while also delivering Live Casino, Bingo and Virtual Sports games as part of its multi-product portfolio, available through one single API.

Throughout the year, Pragmatic Play inked a series of deals to improve its presence within the Brazilian market. One of such endeavors found the company agreeing on a deal with Loto Giro last month.

As part of the agreement, Loto Giro players will earn access to several Pragmatic Play products, including latest slots releases, such as Chili Heat Megaways. The company expects to continue growing in Latin America’s most populous nation, with its portfolio now live with numerous operators.
