Lawrence Levy took office as Ainsworth CEO this month

He replaces Danny Gladstone, who will remain on the board as a Non-Executive Director Gladstone, and will assist with the orderly transition of the new CEO. Most recently, Levy held the position of Vice President Global Sales for Novomatic AG Austria, where his responsibilities were split into two positions.

Lawrence Levy was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Ainsworth Game Technology Limited on 1 July, 2019 subject to necessary regulatory approvals.

Prior to this appointment, Levy has held senior positions within the gaming industry over a successful career spanning 37 years. His industry experience comprises of all areas in casino operations, sales and management; living and working in 19 countries across Europe, North and East Africa, Latin America, ex-Russian states and now Australia.

Most recently, he held the position of Vice President Global Sales for Novomatic AG Austria. His responsibilities were split into two positions, as Jens Einhaus takes over Novomatic sales duties for Europe and the Americas, while Sonya Nikolova will be responsible for Africa and Asia. Novomatic took over approximately 53 percent of the company, becoming the majority stakeholder of Ainsworth Game Technology.

Commenting on his appointment, Levy said: “I am both delighted and motivated to be given the opportunity to guide Ainsworth, a world-renowned provider of gaming technology, into its next phase of development. The legacy that Len Ainsworth and Danny Gladstone built is a great platform for me to start from. Further noting, Danny Gladstone, outgoing CEO, will remain on the board at AGT as a Non-Executive Director and commenced this new role from 1 July 2019. Ainsworth said it looks forward to continuing to utilize his vast industry experience and strong customer relationships as a Non-Executive director. Gladstone will also assist with the orderly transition of the new CEO.
