Gaming dealers at four Las Vegas Strip properties have joined the United Automobile Workers union

The United Automobile Workers (UAW), which already represents more than 8,000 casino employees, announced Wednesday that dealers at Bally's, Harrah's, Paris Las Vegas and Wynn Las Vegas will now be joining the union.

"Today’s vote gives the gaming workers at Bally’s, Harrah’s, Paris and the Wynn a strong voice in their workplace," Vance Pearson, a regional director for UAW, said in a statement.

Gary Jones, president of UAW, said the union also expects a successful vote from workers at Caesars Palace next week.

Local 721, which represents workers at the five casinos, announced in January it would disaffiliate with the Transport Workers Union of America.

UAW represents more than 400,000 active workers in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico, according to the union website.
